Oh Patricia, I understand. While my husband is still in active treatment (immunotherapy), we’ve definitely dealt with mood swings and resistance to support. It’s tough because you want to help, but you can’t force it. What worked for us sometimes:

Echoing Lisa – they love you! Think about it: if the roles were reversed, wouldn’t you do anything for them without seeing it as a burden? Let them show their love this way. It’s okay to accept help, especially now.

Thanks William. Yes, they check his bloodwork regularly, including thyroid (TSH). It’s been normal so far, but good reminder to keep monitoring. The list of potential ‘itis’ issues is daunting, but good to be aware of.
