Hey everyone, Checking in about 10+ months out from finishing my 6 months of FOLFOX for Stage 3 cancer. Grateful to be done with active treatment, but honestly, survivorship is its own beast. On the physical/mental front, the aftermath of FOLFOX is still very present: Chemo Brain: It’s not as bad as during treatment, but the fog is real and persistent. I struggle with finding words sometimes, my short-term memory is unreliable, focusing on tasks is harder, and multitasking? Forget about it. It feels like my brain is just slower. Fatigue: This isn’t just being tired. It’s a deep, bone-weary exhaustion that doesn’t improve much with sleep. My stamina is non-existent, simple activities drain me, and recovery takes forever. It impacts everything. Are these specific issues – persistent cognitive problems and profound fatigue this far out from a regimen like FOLFOX for Stage 3 – common? How do others cope with this combination of intense FoR and these lingering physical/mental side effects?
